Accessibility for deaf and hard of hearing
Productions & co-productions that have longer runs will offer at least one signed performance for deaf and hard of hearing patrons where possible. An experienced signer will unobtrusively stand to the side of the stage, so that people with hearing impairments can view the stage action and read the sign language easily.
Box Office staff can advise on the best seats to view the interpreter easily and which performances are due to be signed in our up and coming programme.
Please note that for talks and performances within our foyers and restaurants that we do not offer a hearing loop system. However they are amplified where possible. Both our venues offer a hearing loop systems for every performance as required . Please ask at box-office upon arrival if you require a hearing loop pack. Our systems are compatible with the ‘T’ setting hearing aid.
Currently we do not offer routine captioned and relaxed performances but we are working hard to bring these services to you in the future.
Some touring work that stages at the theatre may offer captioned or relaxed performances, this will be communicated through the individual listing of the performance in or brochure and website e-shot and social media channels.
We are always keen to hear feedback to develop our services and welcome feedback at any time.
