  • Description

Join us in the apt setting of the Botanical Gardens for an adaption of this celebrated novel by Francis Hodgson Burnet. The Secret Garden tells the story of Mary Lennox who was born in India at the turn of the 20th century. After the sudden death of her parents, she is sent to live with her uncle, Lord Craven on a grand estate. Left alone to roam the manor and its grounds, Mary discovers a secret walled garden that has been locked for many years because of its past. Desperate to bring happiness to the lives of the people around her, Mary and her friend Dickon conspire together to bring life to the forgotten garden, once more. Maggie Smith stars in this beautiful adaption, filmed on location in Yorkshire.
