Round up the usual suspects and fly down to The Byre to see one of Hollywood’s most famous films. It’s December 1941, and American Rick Blaine’s Moroccan nightclub in Casablanca is awash with Vichy French, German officials and refugees waiting to go to the still- neutral America. (After a series of fortunate circumstances, priceless ‘letters of transit’ that enables the owner to travel to neutral Portugal fall into his hands.) Unexpectedly, the love of his life, Ilsa arrives with the husband he never knew she had, freedom fighter, Victor Laslo. Desperate for papers, she confronts Rick at gunpoint, before declaring she loves him. In a matter of life and death, IIsa is forced to choose between the two men she loves, while Rick lives in the hope she chooses him.
