PHASE 1 (Platform for Honing and Accelerating Scientific Excellence) is a unique town-and-gown collaboration between the School of Psychology and Neuroscience (University of St Andrews) and Madras College. In this final celebration of the initiative five higher psychology students from Madras College will present two 8-minute talks on research projects that they have devised, conducted and analyzed.

The event is open to everyone and we invite you to attend and support these talented young scientists.

The event will also feature guest talks by Professor Dave Perrett, Dr Jamie Ainge and Dr Maggie Ellis from the School of Psychology & Neuroscience. Talks will run from 3.00 Р4.00pm followed by tea/coffee and biscuits in the foyer where the students will be displaying conference-style posters of their projects.

We are privileged to welcome Professor Sally Mapstone (Principal and Vice Chancellor, University of St Andrews), Professor Keith Sillar (Head of School, Psychology and Neuroscience) and Mr David McClure (Rector, Madras College) to the event.

Student presenters: Arin Beaver, Jack Laird, Ross Lavin, Aeonie Ramsay and Till Sprengelmeyer.

Students have been mentored by Maneesh Kuruvilla.
