Current audiences and future audience development ambitions

The Byre Theatre has a broad audience which ranges from an international student population in excess of 8,000 and from 100+ nationalities, to a local audience from a range of diverse communities. Our programme seeks to engage all of these as far as possible, maximising repeat visits and engagement. A key future ambition is to grow audience engagement in artistic experiences and product resulting from the research excellence of the University and we are, therefore, interested to speak to artists and companies who might wish to explore these opportunities.
