We want to make sure that you are satisfied with every aspect of your experience with the Byre Theatre. This includes the data we hold on you and the way that we communicate with you. How do we collect your personal data?
When you book a ticket with the Byre Theatre we will ask you for your personal details which we hold securely on our computerised box office system.
If you decide to sign up to our mailing list we will collect personal information from you as is necessary for this service, namely your email address.
What do we do with your personal data?
We use the information you give to us to process your booking and to contact you if there is a significant change to the advertised event or of it is cancelled. If you give us permission, we will hold your data in order to communicate with you about similar events or to ask for your help with research.
You may withdraw your consent to receiving communications from us at any time by writing to email@example.com with the subject line ‘Withdraw consent request from marketing, please’.
We will also use your data to prepare for and provide you with services, such as a reservation in the Café bar. If you provide the Byre Theatre with feedback about your experiences of the venue and/or performances, we will use that information to improve our services.
How long do we keep hold of the information?
We have legal obligations regarding how long we keep that data and you can request that we delete your personal information at any time.
Will we share your information with anyone else?
Your data is held by the University of St Andrews and may be used to provide other services offered by the University. The data is held on our computerised systems which are covered by contracts which protect your data.

You have the right to object to how the Byre Theatre makes use of your personal data. You also have the right to access, correct, sometimes delete and restrict the personal information we use.
