Scotland’s Makar, Peter Mackay, brings together poets working across the country’s many languages in this event shaped by exchange and response. Featuring Agata Masłowska, Iyad Hayatleh, Jeda Pearl, Juana Adcock, Meg Bateman, and Robert Crawford, Our Many-Voiced Country showcases new poems written through conversation and translation. These Scotland-based poets will premiere new work and reflect on the journeys that led to it, celebrating the many tongues, tones, and timbres of Scotland’s contemporary poetry landscape.
