TEDx University of St Andrews 2026
Sunday 29 March 2026
11.00am – Pay What You Can £18.00 / £16.00 / £14.00
Through a line up of diverse speakers, the 2026 TEDx University of St Andrews annual conference questions how the phrase ‘Mind Over Matter’ can reframe how we see the world around us. The day consists of eight informative talks to incite curiosity. From the Maclean Brothers rowing across the Pacific Ocean to Professor Alexander Baldacchino chairing the World Psychiatric Association Addiction Faculty; this conference leaves no aspect of the mantra unexamined. Where else will you find four world record holders, an artist practising on the uninhabited west coast of Jura and an Artificial Intelligence activist in one place?
Join us to hear the following talks from this year’s speakers:
- The Maclean Brothers: Three Brothers in a Boat: Rowing to the Other Side of the Planet
- Joseph Miller: Why I’m Trying to Pause AI
- Professor Alexander Baldacchino: The cost of Excessive Rewards: Brain Changes in Addiction
- Ngozi Cadmus: Rest is an Economic Strategy
- Julie Brook: Being in Your element
- Jamie Aarons: When Mind Meets the Mountains: Rewriting Limits with the Limit of Maybe
- Dr Reetika Subramanian: Climate Brides: Child Marriage in a Warming World
- Logan Elliot: The Bravest Act Gets No Likes
